What to say
"Glad we got that sorted. One thing — we're a small shop and Google reviews are how most people find us. If you get a second later, I'll text you the link. No pressure at all." Then actually send the text before they've left the lot.
What not to say
Don't offer a discount, a free service, or anything of value in exchange. It violates Google's policies, the reviews get filtered, and it puts your listing at risk.
Ask every satisfied customer, not just the thrilled ones. A steady stream of ordinary four and five star reviews looks more credible than a handful of ecstatic ones — and it compounds much faster.
